Herman, Lyngar disagree over election concerns in Washoe County District 5 debate
Often telling the anecdote of how 20 years ago someone had voted in her name, Herman has positioned herself as the voice of residents who believe there have been serious and widespread election problems in Washoe County despite findings by the Nevada Secretary of State’s office and the courts to the contrary.
Lyngar was asked how he would make sure those people felt heard.
“Voting for somebody else and voter fraud are already crimes,” he said.
“I want to hear what people have to say and if there is evidence of any crime at all, I would urge it be investigated. But at this point, great claims require great evidence and there is no evidence of the kind of voter fraud it would take to systemically change an election.
